Power and Control: Why charming men can make dangerous lovers

Author(s): Sandra Horley

Domestic Violence

This is the real story of domestic violence, a story about power and control, a story of men whose charm hides a darker truth - the ability to inflict devastating emotional and physical damage. But ultimately it is a story of courage and strength, told by women who have reclaimed their lives so that others may too. Horley draws on over 20 years supporting abused women to provide an insight into the reality behind the mask of the charming man. Her aim is to show women who are victims of domestic violence that they are not alone and to help them walk away from the confusing and dangerous situation. "This book is a must-read for every woman who feels her life is controlled by her partner." - Martine McCutcheon
