Stuart and his twin sister Sandra are heading home to Wellington on the inter-island ferry. The prospect of eleven hours on a ship doesn't phase Stuart at all - he knows he'll enjoy the trip, he's a good sailor and at least he and Sandra have separate cabins. But the weather forecast is not great. It's April 1968 and the ship is the Wahine. As the ferry approaches Wellington harbour things start to go terribly wrong and Stuart and Sandra find themselves in the middle of a dramatic and tragic event as they must battle to survive.
