Reina Kahukiwa – is of Te Arawa, Tūhoe, and Ngāti Porou descent. She is an author of adult and children’s books, has three university degrees and works as a Māori Advisor and Programme Designer for Māori Pathways. Robyn Kahukiwa – is of Ngāti Porou descent. She is a prominent Māori artist whose work can be found in major collections across New Zealand including Te Papa, Auckland Art Gallery and the University of Auckland. She has won awards for her children's book illustrations. Kiwa Hammond –- translated the original English text by Reina Kahukiwa into Te Reo Māori.
