Anthea Simmons was born in St Albans and studied at St Hugh's College, Oxford. Following a high-flying career in the city, she now lives in Devon where, as well as writing poetry and children's stories, she teaches English as a foreign language to adults from all over the world. Georgie Birkett was born in Kent and studied at Brighton University. She is the author and illustrator of many picture books, and has been published all over the world.
