The second part of the book is memoir mode about the author's values, family life, and includes impact on him of the Spanish Civil war and recounts his forays into politics and journalism.

Author description

Harry Midgley was born in Belfast Northern Ireland in 1926 and lived in Britain and Canada before coming to NZ in 1982. He has been a lawyer, political activits, journalist community entrepreneur and human rights advocate. He lives in Petone with his wife Caryl-Louise Robinson.
