Description

For anyone who has ever thought about taking their children to see the world, here are the experiences and travel tips of a mother and son who spent nearly two years on an amazing global adventure. And what an adventure it was! From diving with thousands of jellyfish in Palau, to touching a real Saturn V rocket that has been to the moon; from hearing voiced recordings of children's accounts of the bomb drop at Hiroshima to taking a train from France to Italy just to have pizza, Sam Pease and her son Jet had as many experiences as they could fit into 600 days. As well as telling of their adventures, Sam includes loads of lessons and tips in her 'Travel 101' sections, which are interspersed throughout the book. This includes things such as how to choose where to go; air fare budgeting tips; food budget tips; kid-wrangling on long flights; travel photography; best travel apps; and much much more. Jet's ideas and perceptions are not left out either - his own accounts hilariously counterpoint those of his mother. Together their writing and experiences are fresh and vivid and will have you looking up airline routes and packing your bags.
