For lesbian sportswomen, playing sport in New Zealand has changed throughout the years. Lesbian sportwomen and their supporters ahve faced discrimination and difficulties, yet women love sport, they love playing sport, and lesbian sportswomen continue to challenge themselves to play at their best.
