Rowena Austin is a freelance editor and writer based in Adelaide. The idea for Max Your Marks came to her when she couldn't find an inspiring book for her own children, entering their last year at high school. Annie Hastwell is a radio and print journalist. Her original career as a teacher left her with a keen interest in educational issues. Her three children have completed high school. Dorothy Vinicombe is a teacher, freelance writer and editor based in Auckland. She has three children, one of whom has successfully completed Year 13 with flying colours while another is just embarking on the experience.
