Counsellor Gabrielle Murphy leads a quiet life, but when a missing client leads Gabrielle to discover a body, she is drawn into the dark side of her pretty tourist town. Fearing that her client, Jasmine, will be charged with murder, Gabrielle enlists some determined women to prove her innocence. She is hampered not only by Jasmine's dubious associates, but also by the client herself who, confused and suicidal, may be on the brink of confessing. Gabrielle enlists forensic psychologist, Martina Day in her quest. When Gabrielle visits the psychologist in her sophisticated home in the city, they become lovers and Gabrielle's judgement is clouded by her desire to impress. As she becomes deeply involved, Gabrielle finds herself not only investigating, but also the target of, murder. A girls' night out provides the killers with their opportunity and Gabrielle finds herself running for her life in a dark forest.
