Description

Ailsa goes on a journey, which starts on a ship and becomes more about love than about places. Alpha may or may not have the family legs. For Ellen the washing is her burden, her son a joy that she's glad to have relief from now and then. Siblings have to find their way with each other.

A Little Bit of Love collects stories that will make you laugh and make you cry and give you that "Yes, life can be like that," feeling. The imagery sparkles in these stories, where a girl can be stroppy, and a fly can be beautiful.

Author description

Annabel Fagan is a 4th generation New Zealander, born in Eastbourne and educated at Muritai Primary and Hutt Valley High schools. She was domiciled overseas for many years and returned in 1975 to live in Auckland with her baby son, Joshi, who is now 39. Annabel has been published in several anthologies, placed in short story competitions and broadcast on radio. This is the first collection containing all her own stories and she feels inordinately proud. She reads, walks and talks a lot. Moving to Paekakariki was like coming home.
