Roll On The Revolution But Not till After Xmas! Selected Feminist Writing
Margot Roth, writer, columnist and feminist activist, began writing newspaper columns in the 1940s as a journalist and freelancer for New Zealand parenting, peace and political magazines.
She contributed feminist columns to Broadsheet magazine in the 1980s and 1990s and her column ran regularly in the NZ Women's Studies Association Newsletter from 1984.
Now 95 and living in Melbourne, she continues to entertain her readers from across the Tasman with her own brand of wit an d wisom.
The Margot Collective, a group of her fans, has selected extracts from over 70 years of Margot's feminist writing, which show vividly and humorously that many of the issues she rasied decades ago are still issues for women today.
Margot bids everyone a nice day, but says she has Other Plans. ENJOY!
'Funny with a sharp eye for the absurd, Margot speakers to us from "down among the women"'. -- Sandra Coney
