Author(s): Sprinkle Annie
Presents a number of the author's key performance texts and essays, and interviews with artists who have worked closely with her over the years, together with a critical introduction and commentaries. By locating her discourse on her own body, she renders exploitation impossible and refers to herself as a "post-porn modernist".
"'The book is entertaining and provocative, and should delight any serious student of feminist performance art.' -- Publishers Weekly, April 2001 'Hardcore from the Heart serves as a scholarly introduction to Sprinkle's oeuvre by including essays, interviews with collaborators, and performance texts. Recommended for academic libraries.' -- Library Journal, July 2001 'Fascinating....Sprinkle constantly pushes her readers to consider new ideas and new ways of seeing sexuality, sex work and pornography.' -- Lamda Book Report, February 2002"
