Claire Turnbull trained as a dietitian and a fitness instructor in the UK and has been working in the health and nutrition industry for more than ten years. She started off working as a clinical dietitian in UK hospitals and moved to New Zealand in 2005 to work as a dietitian for Diabetes Auckland while continuing her work as a fitness instructor at several gyms in Auckland. In 2007, Claire opened her own private nutrition practice, Mission Nutrition, where she now has an incredibly talented team of dietitians and nutritionists working alongside her, offering one-on-one nutrition advice, running workplace wellness programmes and supermarket tours. One of Claire's favourite roles now is as the nutritionist and media spokesperson for Healthy Food Guide magazine, where she has worked for more than six years. She also has her own health and fitness show on Newstalk ZB on a Monday afternoon with Danny Watson, so be sure to tune into that. Claire also has a keen interest in sports nutrition and worked as a nutritionist for a professional rugby team for three years, and continues to work as a nutritionist for AUT Millennium Institute. Alongside managing Mission Nutrition and her role in the media, Claire also speaks at events, conferences and retreats, and runs interactive cooking classes, too.
