Lee A. Underwood, Psy.D. has 27 years experience counseling adolescents and has published over 35 professional articles in refereed journals and 20 scholarly activities including monographs, technical reports and training manuals. He is a tenured Professor at Regent University in the School of Psychology and Counseling and has served in several leadership roles including chair of the MA Counseling programs, Director of Clinical Training in the CES doctoral program, and co-chair of the Human Subjects Review/Internal Review Board. Dr. Underwood is also the Director of the Center for Addiction and Offender Research (CAOR) at Regent University. He has served as an executive clinical officer and clinical supervisor for several large residential treatment and juvenile justice programs for adolescents with severe mental health, substance use, trauma, disruptive behavioral and sexual disorders. Dr. Underwood has worked extensively with community-based, juvenile justice and residential treatment programs and has been recognized by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), American Institutes for Research (AIR) and the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) as one of the leading program innovators for juvenile justice and community treatment programs. Dr. Underwood has held a number of policy oriented research, academic, clinical and consulting positions over his career with Federal, state and private agencies for research, program design, development, implementation and evaluation of services. Dr. Underwood performs training activities, develops treatment curricula, designs programs and performs program evaluations for private and public organizations throughout the country. He served as a Senior Consultant with the National Center for Mental Health and Juvenile Justice, an affiliate of Policy Research Associates. He consults with the Federal Department of Justice's civil rights division regarding fair and equitable treatment for adolescents in systems of care. Dr. Underwood has chaired the M.A. Program in Forensic Psychology at Argosy University, Phoenix, Arizona and continues to provide subject matter expertise to the program. He has served as an affiliate faculty for Louisiana State University Health Science Center and Rutgers University Criminal Justice program. Frances L. L. Dailey, M.A. is a Professional Counselor and Executive Director of Dailey Consulting. She serves as the Project Director for USA Consulting Group, a research and evaluation organization. She teaches Masters students in Forensic Psychology. She received her Master's in Counseling from Regent University, School of Psychology and Counseling. She is the author of Adolescents in Crisis: Understanding the Back-story (in press) and is involved in several statewide program evaluations for juveniles involved in the juvenile justice system. Her research and clinical interests have focused on survivors of sex trafficking, juveniles in secure care and residential treatment facilities, first generation college students, supervision and multicultural competencies, program design, evaluation and implementation. Her most recent works include program evaluation (of Louisiana's Juvenile Sex Offender Program for the US Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Program [OJJDP]).
