Kevin Crossley-Holland is a poet and prize-winning author. Storm was awarded the Carnegie Medal and The Seeing Stone, the first part of his Arthur trilogy, won the Guardian Children's Fiction Award as well as being translated into 25 languages. He is president of The School Library Association and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. After seven years teaching in Minnesota, Kevin now lives on the north Norfolk Coast with his wife. Jane Ray is one of the most talented and distinctive illustrators in the children's book world and regularly exhibits her work at various galleries. Her many awards include shortlists for the Kate Greenaway Medal and the Mother Goose Award and the Nestle Gold Award. She has created numerous books for Orchard, most recently the Twelve Days of Christmas and The Nutcracker. Her work gains critical acclaim both in the UK and internationally. Jane lives in London with her family.
