Leslie Sokol, PhD, is director of education at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research. A highly acclaimed lecturer, Sokol is a licensed psychologist and cognitive therapy expert who maintains a private practice in the Philadelphia suburbs.


Aaron T. Beck, MD, is the president of the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and University Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Beck developed cognitive therapy in the early 1960s as a psychiatrist at the University of Pennsylvania. He has published over 500 articles and 19 books and has lectured throughout the world. Dr. Beck is the recipient of many honors from professional and scientific organizations, including America's Nobel, the Lasker Clinical Medical Research Award.


Judith S. Beck, PhD, is the director of the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research, clinical associate professor of psychology in psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania, and past president of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. Beck is is the daughter of the influential founder of cognitive therapy, Aaron T. Beck, MD. She is the author of The Beck Diet Solution.
