The Pulitzer Prize administration awards prizes across 21 categories in journalism, and the arts each year. Prizes are given for excellence in newspaper journalism, literary achievements and musical composition.

The 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction was jointly won by Barbara Kingsolver with Demon Copperhead and Hernan Diaz with Trust.
