Adriatic Blue is an anthology of 30 short stories from New Zealand to Croatia with some unexpected detours along the way.
Barbara Unkovic was born in Whangarei, New Zealand, the daughter of a Croatian father and an English mother. She is in fact D. H. Lawrence's third cousin. Barbara now lives in Racisce, a small fishing village of 200 people on the island of Korcula in Croatia, the original home of her father's family. In addition to her short stories which have been published by More.com in the USA, she has also been published in the UK. Her most notable pieces being 'The Voice,' which was the winner of the Writer's Bill Board competition in February 2010 for Flash Fiction, 'The Flourish' which won in March 2010 and 'Psycho' which was placed second in the Global Short Stories for January 2010 competition.
